The History of Cactus Jack's "Jacks" is one of the longest standing country cabarets in Canada. The original building was built by the Kamloops Elk lodge in 1927, and had some great history. It was originally a 1,200 seat auditorium and in the late 70's and early 80's it was two different rock bars featuring many live music acts. After over 20 years, as its popularity became unprecedented in Kamloops, Cactus Jacks outgrew its original location. In October, 2009 Cactus Jacks relocated to a totally renovated building on 5th Avenue at Lansdowne. The new location is bigger and better, boasting a 50+ foot main bar, large bathrooms, a bigger dance floor, a full stage and great seating and VIP areas. Keeping the local 'cowboy' charm and giving it a new twist, Cactus Jacks embodies the Kamloops culture to a tee. No matter the location or the name, Cactus Jacks is proud to have been the meeting place for many over the years. We have seen patrons find spouses, life-long friends and, of course, many good dancing partners. We are a western themed saloon & dance hall that plays ALL kinds of music including live musical acts. We welcome all to enjoy our establishment however drinking age in B.C. is 19 years old and is strictly enforced. We offer a fun and safe environment to kick up your heels. We thank all our patrons for the good times over the years and look foward to many more. |

Cactus Jacks started as Jack Daniels Dance Hall in 1986. Jack Daniels bottling company asked for a name change in 1996 so Cactus Jacks was founded. Besides the name change everything else stayed the same, it was good times and the best country music nightly.
